Day 275 – 2/23/12 – Kindness Remains

Russellville to Bentonville; Distance = 17 Miles; People Met = 4

We spent the evening with someone whose mom has Alzheimer’s.  Having taken care of a mom with Alzheimer’s as well we were reluctant to go at first, fearing it would upset things.  The mom handled it well, however, she even seemed to enjoy our company.  Later the daughter recounted a time when the mom was having trouble doing the simplest activity, yet afterwards offered to help out with chores.  In other words, when everything else was removed, kindness yet remained.
