Targeting Residential Life

I recently changed my Services page to reflect my new line-up for public speaking.  As with any endeavor it’s good to start with a focus and branch out.  In the case of offering workshops and seminars I’m going to focus on Residential Life Departments at universities.

This is an extension of being informed during the journey that I need to reach out to this demographic specifically, the young that are in best position to turn around declining civic involvement.  I also have considerable experience with Residential Live, both as somewhat of a Professional Student and as a Hall Director at ECSU.  I’m already envisioning how my five principles of community can be employed in a residence hall setting.

This spring I’m going to contact a public and a private university to research current residential life situations for organizing my seminars and workshops.  In return I’ll then train their staff for them in regards to the five community principles.  If you have a strong connection or feeling about a potential “beta” university in the Connecticut area let me know soon.
