Day 101 – 9/2/11 McClure CG to Redstone

Distance = 8 Miles; People Met = 16

Wow!  Redstone, Colorado is a wonderful town!  But rather than me writing about it why don’t you listen to one of the leading figures of the town, Pastor Bruce Gledhill.  Included in the slides are Bruce’s wife Connie, son Kent, daughter-in-law Melissa, and several grandkids.  The people who had tables with us at the small farmer’s market were Chris and Karen, and Alesia.  Also featured are Janice (caterer who brought us her leftovers), Bill and Debbie (volunteers to clean the church building where we stayed); and Penny and Bob (who started the farmers market in back of their story).  I’m sure you will be as impressed with Redstone as I am. If an error occurs press the YouTube button on the video.

  1. Kirk & Cindy,
    Thanks for your postcard from back in the fall. It finally prompted me to go look at your web page. I remembered your visit here at Redstone, but had forgotten that you did an audio interview with me. You did a terrific job of setting that up in video with your slides of the people and places of our little community. July 4, 2012 we had two more people come through and stay at the church while hiking the ADT.
    Thanks again for the good report you put together about our community.

    Bruce

      Thanks for checking in Pastor Bruce. We hope to pass that way again someday. By the way, we sort of have a mutual acquaintance. Though I’ve never met Pastor Kerry Hookstra face-to-face we were in constant contact through our initial Lions Club connection. He spoke of you fondly.

      Kirk
