The Ten Million Steps Presentation

While at the University of Maryland I gave a presentation about our American Discovery Trail journey to the School of Public Health. That presentation was videotaped and a link to the video subsequently provided. There are three parts to the presentation, any of which might garner interest.

The first part, beginning around the 6:30 mark (after introductions by host J Carson Smith and myself), is a performance of the first movement for the American Discovery project I’ve been working on. I’ve since performed that for my mentor, Kim Scharnberg; per his recommendations I’ll be adding even more background sound clips to the performance, but this presents the essence of the movement. Unfortunately, there is a lag time between video and slides.

The second part, beginning around the 21:30 mark, shares three stories about kindness and community from the journey. Slides of the journey run in the background in chronological order. Those slides continue to run through the third part, beginning around the 33:30 mark, for the Q&A part of the presentation.
